Coliseum Bound!

American Martyrs, Orchard Academy, Harry Bridges and Frank Parent Win in Elite 8

The 2015 FIYA Flag Football Playoffs for Division 1 continued on Wednesday at Rancho Cienega with four terrific games involving excellent teams throughout Los Angeles.  American Martyrs of Manhattan Beach opened the day against Downtown Value of Los Angeles and the experience of American Martyrs in big playoff games proved invaluable as they defeated Downtown Value.  Orchard Academy of Bell displayed a lot of deep bombs in their aerial attack to jump ahead of St Anastasia of Westchester and Orchard advances to the Final Four.  Harry Bridges of Wilmington battled Vaughn of San Fernando and the top seeded Bulldogs would not be denied from a trip to the Coliseum.  In the final nightcap, Frank Parent of Inglewood and James Jordan of Winnetka showed their speed and strength as both teams scored often.  In the end, it was Frank Parent holding on for an exciting victory.  Congratulations to all 8 teams for a well played season.  For the winners, they will pick up again on Thursday at Rancho Cienega.  Click on Sports, Flag Football and Playoffs for more information.
