Visitation Wins FIYA Archery Championship

Meteors Shoot Like Stars

Visitation captured the FIYA Archery Championship on Wednesday afternoon at Frank D. Parent School in Inglewood.  The Meteors did not shy away from defeating very difficult competition.  In the semi-finals, Visitation played Holy Trinity, the two time FIYA Archery champs, and defeated them 5 to 1.  In the other semi-final, top seed St Anastasia jumped to a 2 to 0 lead against Frank D. Parent after the triples competition and then needed some sharp shooting to force a 10 arrow shootout.  In the 10 arrow shootout, the Panthers of Frank D. Parent were victorious by a two point margin.  This set up a final between Visitation and Frank D. Parent.  Once again, the Visitation archers kept hitting yellows to prove that the Meteors are shooting stars as they won the championship by a score of 5 to 1.  Congratulations to all four teams, especially to our 2016 FIYA Archery champions!
